Fishing and a Picnic

Lane thought that we were overdue for some family time since he's been buried in his homework as he concludes this summer semester. Fishing was his pick. I said yes. He literally just opened the map book and pointed to a lake. This lake is called Jones Lake which is almost in Hope.

With a nice little picnic packed and coffee in our mugs, we were off on our little adventure early in the morning.
Our car half way up the 9km trek. The road was super bumpy since it's a logging road.

Playing in the sunshine.

Lane did some fishing, but no fish were caught this time.

"Dad are you sleeping!?"

Tasting some peas from our garden.

Weeeee!

"I'll have some more please."

And here's another funny face Wren special. She loves to make us laugh.
With some pink, sunburned skin and a few bug bites as souvenirs, we came home quite exhausted. It was, however, a wonderfully gorgeous day. And was super awesome to have some relaxing time spent with just the three of us.

Hope you enjoy this long weekend!
